C J Hughes transport was established by Christoper Hughes in the mid 70's and has existed by doing a mixture of quarry work, powder tank work and bulk haulage. It is now run by Richard Hughes and concentrates solely on bulk tippers, moving mainly grain and animal feed. We have TASSCA certification for grain handling and are currently applying for FIAS certification for bulk fertilizer movement. There are currently seven artic units mainly Scanias and eight bulk tipping trailers. We currently work for a large selection of grain and feed merchants and occasionally still do some quarry work. The drivers have recently undertaken CPC training and also hold Epic cards as required by all quarry groups. We are located in Charlesfield Industrial Estate, St.Boswells in the Scottish Borders.
